Mary and Archangel michael have a love affair for many lifetimes. However Mary ascends when she defeats her own personal feelings for Michael. Our lady of Guadalupe shows us Mary rising above her lover as she ascends to heaven. Michael is not empowered to defeat the double headed dragonhymn until Mary has given up on him completely, giving Michael the strength to rebuke the double headed dragon.
